Dr. Morstein is the organizer and Main Speaker at the seminar. Dr. Morstein is a naturopathic physician with extensive diabetic expertise in naturopathic medicine. Dr. Morstein has mentored with a T1DM and diabetologist Dr. Richard Bernstein in N.Y., author of a highly regarded book on diabetes “Dr. Bernstein’s Diabetes Solution”.
Dr. Morstein has been interviewed by MSNBC on using alternative medicine for diabetes, and has spoken at conferences including: Arizona Dept of Health Gestational Diabetes Seminar, ADA Phoenix Exposition, and numerous international naturopathic conferences. Susan Guzman, PhD, is a clinical psychologist specializing in the psychological issues of living with chronic illness, especially diabetes and cardiac illnesses. She is the Director of Clinical Services at the Behavioral Diabetes Institute, a non-profit organization devoted to addressing the unmet emotional and behavioral needs of those with diabetes, and also has a private practice in San Diego.
Dan & Sally Roman are the proud parents of 2 type 1 diabetic children who have successfully managed their disease entirely by lifestyle changes.
